History

Aneka Warna is a family owned business established in 1965 by husband & wife Liem Tian Ie & Djuanawati.

Settled down in Surabaya, Indonesia’s second largest city, they have lived most of their life there with their children utilising the city’s great history & culture.

To enrich their family life and the city, they had chosen to run a small carpet shop located on Jalan Kramat Gantung 111-113.

Kramat Gantung, a street within what previously in 1700-1900 known as Alun-Alun Contong Village is now seen as the perfect and bliss location for the Carpet trade.

Although it is known as ‘Village’, do not let that turns you off as the area around Alun-Alun Contong cannot run from its history where there was an existence of Surabaya’s two Kingdom or Empire.

Still exist to serve its Kingdom’s history, Kramat Gantung has developed its reputations as being the centre of Surabaya’s Carpet, Textile & Plastic trade.

Remain today largely devoted to this profession, you could roam down Jalan Kramat Gantung (wear light clothing as it could be hot and humid) and browse over wide choice of available carpet, textiles and plastic styles and services and find all you need to build your own Kingdom.

Remain loyal to serve its Kingdom, Aneka Warna is still now trading and located where it first started i.e. right in the middle of Kramat Gantung.

Taken over by Liem Tian Ie & Djuanawati’s Eldest Daughter, Nila Santigi is determined to follow on the family tradition to serve the people & the City by providing a full carpet service that is required to build anyone’s ‘Kingdom’.

Recently refurbish in 2008 from 2 storey building to a 4 storey building, Aneka Warna is now the Largest store on Kramat Gantung where it will give you the perfect starting point to browse though the maze.

Do not forget whist browsing through to look at so many side streets where history tells us there are many remains of ‘Keraton’ (Kings & Queens) place of living to boost your shopping experience.

See you at Aneka Warna!
